Visitor address and correct entrance
The tall, three-part historic gate on Stubenrauchstraße is the regular public entrance. It opens onto the eastern end of the main axis and is mapped as wheelchair accessible. The northern gate on Fehlerstraße is used for operations; do not plan it as a visitor entrance.
S-Bahn and U-Bahn
Bundesplatz S-Bahn and U-Bahn station is north-east of the cemetery. It is served by U9, the S41 and S42 ring lines and S46. Walk west towards Südwestkorso and Stubenrauchstraße. Save the main gate as your destination rather than the cemetery’s geometric centre.
Bus and bicycle
Görresstraße bus stop is a short walk south-east of the gate. Routes and timetables can change, so check your journey with the transport authority immediately before travelling.
Six uncovered cycle stands are mapped beside the gate on Stubenrauchstraße. They are free to use but do not provide secure indoor or weather-protected storage.
Arriving by car
Private motor vehicles are not permitted inside the cemetery. The district does not designate a dedicated visitor car park. On-street spaces around the site carry varying restrictions; a free or accessible bay cannot be guaranteed. Allow extra time and rely on the signs at the kerb.
Commercial vehicles require a paid permit to enter. For a private visit, the Stubenrauchstraße gate remains the correct destination.
Planning for accessibility
The main gate is mapped as wheelchair accessible, while the toilet by the chapel is not. A mobile ramp operated with a Euro key is used for the upper columbarium level. Details and assistance periods are set out under cemetery administration, and every relevant point appears on the interactive map.
